Miracle Twins

 

Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. For he spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.

Psalms 33:.8-9

 

“ I was at a place where I didn’t know how to pray and I cried “Jesus” then I heard a nurse say “ wait a minute I’ve got a heart beat I’ve got a heart beat.” Whitney came back to life. Rick Roberts

 

 

The pregnancy

Becky’s pregnancy was going fine, she didn’t have much morning sickness at all.

 

In the ninth week we heard what we thought was one baby’s heart beat, but surprisingly there were two.

 

January of 1995 we had the first ultrasound and it was then we found out we were having twins. One of my great grandmothers had five set of twins & another had three sets.

 

A trip to the doctors office

Becky began having a little trouble the last part of January. We went to the doctor's office and the doctor said every thing was fine. Becky continued to have trouble, we called the doctor and she said to come into the office in the morning. All during that night Becky was having pains in her back. At the doctor's office, after being examined the doctor told us that her water had broken. The doctor said it is too early and that we didn’t have much to worry about because they were not even babies at 24 weeks. I don’t know a whole lot about it but I knew that there was life in there. They can call it tissue, but there was growing babies in there. We already heard the heart beats, then there is life.

 

At the hospital

At the hospital they wanted us to have the babies and not do anything to try to revive them, because there was no chance of them surviving at 24 weeks. We refused an abortion so they sent us to another hospital. At that hospital Becky laid with her body tilted down. They really didn’t give us much hope there either. There were people in different parts of the world praying for our baby's survival. On the third day, February 11th, they took Becky off her medicine, because of signs of infection. Five minutes later she was rushed to the operating room.

 

The miracle births

In the operating room they had a team of nurses for each baby. Whitney Faith was born first only weighing 1.5 pounds. When she was born she was dead with no vital signs. I watched as they began to work with Whitney and after about four minutes the nurses were ready to give up. I saw the head nurse shake his head, as we did all we could do. I was at a place where I didn’t know how to pray so I cried out “Jesus” Then I heard a nurses say “wait

 a minute I've got a heart beat I’ve got a heart beat.” Whitney came back to life. Britney Hope was born 34 minutes later weighing 1.8 pounds

 

To the Newborn ICU

They told us the next three days were very critical and they may not make it. One nurses even said that Whitney would not even make it through the night. Their heads were the size of a plum, their skin was transparent, there was no fat at all on them, But all baby. Three days went by and they were still living, prayer was reaching the throne room of heaven. Britney was in the hospital for four months and Whitney for five months. We believe in the anointing, so we placed a tape recorder in their beds playing my preaching tapes and Becky’s sing tapes. The word of God began to heal their bodies. Many times they were at death’s door and we began to pray and death had to flee. At one time Whitney’s oxygen level dropped and they couldn’t get it to come back up, then they put Becky’s singing tape in and her oxygen level came right back up. “.....and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.” Is. 10:27

 

Two years later

After one year the girls weighed 12 pounds and at two years they weigh 20 pounds. There is still power in prayer. The girls are in perfect health today and they both wear glasses.

 

Faith & Hope

 

            We believe that the names Faith & Hope was given to us by God. After they were born we said the names at the same time while others were thinking the same names.

 

At the name of Jesus

 

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. Proverbs 18:10
