TEMPT ME LORD!!!

A few Sundays ago when the young people was holding the service, one read this verse……..Ge 22:1 ¶ And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.When they read that one thing jumped out to me and really couldn’t tell you hat was said after that….. Again I’ve said this before all I need is one word from God to speak to me to tae me through another day another Mt. another valley another storm another battle – lift your hands and cry out to God Give me one word Lord to carry me through!! Listen there are some of you in here this morning that need to hear from God- you need God to speak to you, to sustain you in your time of need.I dare someone to cry out to God – “give me a word this morning, give me a word this morning” As she read this scripture I thought again of how important it is that when we testify to quote or read the scripture because we never know how or when God might decide to speak to someone hearing the scripture coming out of your mouth – for the bible says Faith cometh by hearing and hearing the Word of God!!! SO keep speaking his Word…… Because this person decided to read that scripture it has changed the way I’ve been praying during the day… and hopefully this will help you this morning as well…. ………. God did tempt Abraham……… when I heard this I thought wow – God tempt me!!!!! Now don’t get me wrong I know the bible says…. Jas 1:13 ¶ Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: {evil: or, evils} Jas 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. God Can Not Tempt you to Sin or do Evil……… but why can’t he tempt you to live right to do right to live righteous, holy to go to church to read the bible…. and so on... I’m tired of being tempted by the devil and by my flesh, and from then on every time I’ve been tempted I began to pray “God Tempt me to do right”Now you can sit there all day long and say I’m not tempted to do wrong and have a “more holier than thou” spirit but if your living n the flesh I know you are tempted unless your greater than Jesus for He was tempted of Satan himself….Mr 1:13 And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.Lu 4:2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered 1Co 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. I want you to notice he said “but will with the temptation….” WITH – every time we are tempted there is something that comes WITH it – an open door – God is tempting you to walk through the door of escape!!!!!! He that hath an ear let him hear!!!! If we will listen while being tempted we will hear God Tempting us as well….. Jesus was tempting his disciples to pray when they were tempted to sleep…… Mt 26:40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? 41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. I’m tired (speaking in general) of being tempted to smoke, cheat, watch something I shouldn’t, do something I shouldn’t, loose my temper, fight with the co-worker or friend, to talk about another church member (spreading discord), to go out and drink with co-workers, and the ones that may hit us the most – I’m tried of being temped NOT to pray NOT to read, NOT to go to church…… Lift your ands and pray – “tempted me Lord to……….” When I’m tempted to believe a bad report - tempt me to believe God’s Word!!!A few days ago I was driving to work (My truck’s rod starting knocking I called Becky told her what has happing – she refused to believe the loud knocking noise she was hearing and began to pray and guess what, I haven’t heard he rod knock again since then) Becky was tempted to PRAY – who did that not the devil – God did……… When the Doctor says there’s no hope, pray God tempt be to Pray!!!   I hope from this little message it will change your daily prayer – and ask God, when the enemy begins to tempt you your cry out Tempt me God!!
